Difficulties and countermeasures in carton processing and die-cutting process

Die-cutting is a key step in carton processing, how to ensure the quality of die-cutting is a matter of great concern to printing factories. At present, the main problems faced by carton printing factories are long time for plate change, poor printing to cutting accuracy, poor die-cutting quality, excessive paper wool, too many and too large connection points, irregular trace lines, slow production speed, and scrap rate. higher. This article will answer the above questions one by one for the printing factory.

Problem 1: It takes a long time to change the version

The preparations before the version change must be done well. Using the centerline of the equipment as a reference, you can easily and accurately set up die-cutting tools, including full-size die-cutting plates, pre-installed bottom templates, and more. At the same time, the pre-installation of tools outside the machine and the fine-tuning on the machine also further reduce the adjustment time of repeated products. Under a good management system, the time for changing versions of repeated products, including automatic waste removal, can be completed within 30 minutes.

Problem 2: Poor accuracy of printing and cutting

At present, users’ requirements for high-quality printed products are increasing day by day, and the design of packaging boxes is becoming more and more complicated. Complicated box types have correspondingly increased requirements for die-cutting quality and accuracy. In order to maintain an error range of ±0.15mm, a qualified die-cutting machine must be used. At the same time, attention must be paid to the adjustment steps, especially the time for the paper feeding table and the paper to reach the front gauge. .

Problem 3: Die-cutting quality is poor and paper wool is too much

Low-quality cardboard, such as recycled cardboard, makes the die-cutting process more difficult. In order to achieve better die-cutting quality, the operator must find out the correct preparation method, especially the method of replenishing the bottom, which can keep the sharpness of the die-cutting knife by gradually increasing pressure and regional replenishing pressure. For products that use a lot of knife lines, it is very important to balance the knife plate, which can significantly reduce the pressure filling time. In addition, it is necessary to choose rubber strips with different hardness according to the requirements of different products, such as typesetting, cardboard quality, etc.

Problem 4: Too many connection points are too big

End users of cartons are always asking for smaller and fewer joints, and manufacturers are always making machines run faster, which increases the difficulty of operators. In order to ease the difficulty, the connection point should be at the point of stress, and it should be hit with a grinder. Use hard glue strips or cork on the edge of the knife where the connection point needs to be made to prevent the connection point from breaking, so that the connection point can be smaller and less.
